I live in Jacksonville, Florida but was raised primarily in Orange Park, Florida. I attended Orange Park High from 88-91. Oh! I also attended at Somerset High School in Somerset, Kentucky for 5 months in 89.
My husband, Zixon, and I met at work through a mutual friend. We were married June 5, 2004. We now have two beautiful children, Zach, 3 (born January 4th, 2006) and Emily, 2 (born January 8th, 2007). They were both born in Orange Park, Florida.
Emily has Down Syndrome. She is what the doctor's refer to as "Mosaic", meaning that she does not have the "typical" Down Syndrome. She will be a little slower in learning than a normal child, but not as behind as a a child with "typical" Down Syndrome. I am so thrilled whenever she has an "accomplishment" (like pulling herself up on the couch or trying to stand without help), I will most likely be writing a lot of blogs about her!

For those of you that don't actually "know" us, Zixon is a musician. He plays guitar, keyboards, a little drums and sings. Although I don't care for his style (he's more rock and I'm more country), I'm still proud of the fact that he's so talented.
