Hülya Kandemir is an exceptional talented singer and songwriter with a remarkable background and charisma. At the age of 16 years, she already had her own producer and had thereafter attained a remarkable reputation as a talented musician, singing her own composed ballads on many concerts. She was also invited to perform as support act of renowned musicians like, Joan Baez, Franz Benton, Natalie Cole, Bonnie Taylor and Sheryl Crow.
Her very powerful, dynamic and rousing voice, the sensitive melodies and lyrics (English, German, Turkish) are her unique musical characteristic. Through out the media she has been compared with celebrities as Joni Mitchell or Tracy Chapman. She had already attained all one needs to become a star in the music business. In 2004, she was offered to sign a recording contract including video clip and promotion with a major label. Nevertheless for her particular own, it was not the right time. More than ever she needed desistance from her fast growing career and success, affecting the risk to loose herself. Hence amid this external process she was on a personal quest, discovering her religious roots, Islam.
Still Hülya never ceased to compose and to sing for a selected audience.
Now she is working on her next album which is hopefully being released in 2009. Till then we wish you all creative moments and the best for your families and friends.

Hülya Kandemir ist eine Sängerin mit Persönlichkeit und Geschichte. Bereits mit 16 Jahren hatte die aus der Oberpfalz stammende Deutsch-Türkin einen eigenen Produzenten.
Sie galt als begabte Singer/Songwriterin, sang selbstgeschriebene Balladen in Konzerten und spielte in diversen Vorprogrammen, unter anderem mit Joan Baez, später mit Franz Benton, Natalie Cole, Bonnie Tyler und Sheryl Crow. Eine gewaltige und mitreißende Stimme, gefühlvolle Melodien und sensible Texte (Deutsch, Englisch und Türkisch) sind ihr Markenzeichen. Sie wurde mit Joni Mitchell oder Tracy Chapman verglichen und hatte alles was ein großer Star in der Musikbranche braucht.
Im Jahr 2004 erhielt sie die Möglichkeit, einen Plattenvertrag inkl. Videoclip und Promotion zu unterschreiben. Doch für sie persönlich war dies der falsche Zeitpunkt, denn sie brauchte Abstand vom schnell wachsenden Erfolg, einem eitlen Showbusiness und der Gefahr, sich in all dem zu verlieren – sie hatte nach einer neuen Mitte gesucht und ihre Religion, den Islam, für sich entdeckt.
Hülya hörte jedoch nie wirklich auf, Songs zu schreiben und vor ausgewähltem Publikum zu spielen.
Sie arbeitet gerade an einem neuem Album, voraussichtlich wird es in 2009 veröffentlicht. Bis dahin wünschen wir euch viel Spaß und Inspiration.

As Salam Aleikum, dear Friends. We had previously planend to release my new album beginning of 2009. As you have noticed, some ideas in life need more time, the right moment.
