UPDATE:
For all those of you that do not know me, I am serving a mission for my church for the next two years, from April 2009 to April 2011. During the course of that time I will NOT be able to read any of your message or reply to them. So I am sorry, but please continue to enjoy the music, and leave me any feedback or anything you would like. I will get them in 2 years, and reply as soon as possible. Thank you guys so much! God Bless

The past year has been a rollercoaster of up and downs for new indie artist Preston Brown. Virtually new to the music scene of the small town in North Carolina, Preston has come with a fresh message. "I just want everyone to know love and peace and that their is healing to be found through music. Too many lives and too much talent is wasted when an artist decides to compromise lyrical content and image", says Preston. "I said everything on this album that I wanted to say, and a little more".
Starting at a young age, Preston was introduced to music. From Sunday nights with the family, to playing on stage with various bands, he is no stranger to music. "I come from a very musical family. My mother sang, and played violin. My father was a mandolin player in a family bluegrass band. My grandfather played mandolin and ukulele in a band also. All my uncles play music. Music has always been a part of my life"
Using the skills learned around the house, Preston took music to the next level. Playing in a band called "The Missing Link" he started out on a musical journey that would lead up to today. After the band broke up, a new band was formed in "Faded Pistol", featuring members from the recently dissovled "Missing Link". After "Faded Pistol", Preston played in "Pure Octane" and "Two Block Stop".
Now after 5 years of playing in bands, Preston has come to the stage once more, alone. He has come to the music scene with an extremly unused sound. "It's something new. It's not like anything I used to play, and I love it". His new album, debuting next month, features a range of sound: from catchy acoustic pop sing-alongs, to heart-wrenching balads, to soulful, spiritual insights into his life. "I really want everyone to understand that this album is very personal" says Preston. "I put my heart and soul into it, to make it as good as it possibly can be, and I hope that people get the message I am trying to give."
