Click here to make your own!~DJ GEMINI~~Born of Puerto Rican lineage.~Native to the lower East Side of Manhattan.~Thriving son to Hip Hop.Learning the basics in mixing and cutting on the turn tables from his best friend Alkim, aka-Chief Rocka, thirteen year old, self named Gemini, sharpened his new found skills in unknowing preparation of tests to come. Having decided on the name as a metaphor for the power and diversity within each individual hand, Gemini fiercely worked to solidify his name.That initial challenge came when he was to DJ his first Bronx based house party. Sure of his overly practiced capabilities, Gemini was soon disillusioned and angry once the party people booed and chanted his departure. Snatching up his records, Gemini left with a new focus and determination to unleash the talent he knew he harbored inside.For the next two years, Gemini diligently practiced to become what other DJ's could only hope to be, proclaiming that he was virtually invisible as he spent eight hours or more in his room, seven days a week just honing his craft. Creating a stronger discipline with the control of his hands to work both together and independently, Gemini's sign began to rise.With his own stamp of approval, Gemini was ready to face the crowd again, this time, he was reinvented. His second test was when he was called to be a guest DJ at yet another house party, only this time, he would not lose. Captivating the crowd once he took residency on the DJ set, Gemini knew he had avenged himself when more and more people questioned about the DJ long after the party was over.From there, Gemini continued to do parties and then moved on to performing at clubs in Philly. Soon after, the floodgates broke and he was traveling from Philly to fiery Florida, then blowing into Chicago and on around to animated Los Angeles. Once in L.A., Gemini surged through doors as opportunities began to pour in, including a DJ battle to be held at American Gear at the Guilter Center. Gemini's roster of performance clubs escalated to the likes of Studio 56, Alstar and Roxy. Also to his credit were appearances made to Sugar Honeys, V.I.P. Lounge and Camachos.Not limiting himself to club atmospheres, Gemini moved on to work with Boom Boom Entertainment and Ortega Productions and xradio.biz where his mixes can be heard on the DJ Cisco show, Gemini also did once a month spin off mix on Xradio as well. Gemini also Djed for XM Radio once a week on the mega mix show on the Dj Eclusive show. Gemini also did shows with the newest member from the aftermath lable Bishop Lamont and opened for old school, seasoned rapper, Special Ed. Moving on to the do video count downs for D.P.G. on Comcast Cable, Gemini has also assisted in the Mix Video Count Down Hip Hop Show.With a wealth of versatility, Gemini is the east coast Phoenix, rising from his own ashes to be something great.
