Dimitris Vamvakas is a Greek/International, singer/composer who rose
to international prominence in the 1980s and 1990s.
Born to a large family in Pireaus, Greece.Dimitri emerged as a teen star in mid 1970’s in the Greek-speaking world, playing the Bouzouki (Which is the Greek traditional instrument similar to the Mandolin) and singing.Dimitris music has been influenced by genres ranging from
Pop, Latin and Easy Listening to International and Classical.
While his performances have received mixed critical reception,
He is renowned for his technically skilled and powerful yet sensitive vocals.His success has continued as he crossed musical and linguistic barriers
as a performer of romantic ballads and International songs in 7 languages.

Thus far, he has performed all over the United States,Greece and the Italian Islands.
