D.P.K. started off as more of a gang than anything else. A tight set of people that knew everything bout one another. but rap has been the biggest influence in all our lives an going through the shit we did on a daily basis just pushed us to go into "the game" ya could say. It started two years back when Kripdo an myself BaiNe wrote a page each. Not the best but it was the start, the spark. A few months went by an nothin was happening, wel not entirely nothin. We would record on our phones an write somethin here an there but nothin too serious. Meanwhile BaiNe was workin on another group that never really worked out. Had another homie wit a different mind set(as oppose to the straight family security type status wit dpk) named macmanus. An wit no studio time, no lyrics an a lack of assertion nothing came of the group that was never named. Things were looking grim for a while. The members never saw each other an we was gettin shoved farther an farther away from our goals an focusing on ignorant priorities. But wit a new year comes new change, an I think its about time to unleash the the new age of underground rap.
With 2008 closing BaiNe and HyRul3 finished their first mixtape entitled Blazed and Confused vol 1 wit a lil help from 2face an kripdo. Shortly after that we finished the halfBaked mixtape freestyles 101 with the help of a new recruit dubbed J-dub. Also responsible for the remix to the preview song.
