I am a 5-year-old Dalmatian and I live with my mom & her human pup, Jack.
As often the cases with most dog breeds, Dalmatians were massed produced and received a bad reputation from inexperienced owners. Such an owner chooses to abandon me in the mucky Oso Creek, a creek overridden with bugs and snakes. My mom’s father happened to be driving past it, when he saw me getting way to close to the main street. He pulled over and immediately removed me from danger.
After spending several hours knocking on doors in the local neighborhood and no one claiming me, my guardian angel finally took a good look at me. I was malnourished, missing half my hair due to parasites, and had an obvious bloat in my tummy…
After I got back from the vet, mama took care of me for a few weeks until she could move into her new house. I grew up in a big backyard and even was aloud to tag along with mom everywhere she went. Soon mom was afraid she wouldn’t have time for me when she was going to have her own pup, so my mom bought Maverick.
Maverick, my partner of 5 years, recently left us. He will be missed greatly and I hope to see him again some day. Mom also lost her mate of 5 years and is working on getting everything back to normal again. Right now I am helping my mama with whatever she needs to start a new life.
