This page is here to drum up some support for singer/songwriter Gareth Icke. He has made it to the GRAND FINAL of 2008's Live & Unsigned. It's being held at Fairfield Arts Centre in Croydon, London on Saturday 28th June. Doors open at 3.30pm and show starts at 4pm. Tickets are £15 and they get you into all of the events including Under 18s and Bands. To get tickets just send us a message!
For those of you that haven't heard of Live & Unsigned, I'll give you a little history. The Live & Unsigned event is not only a competition to find talent, but it also gives bands, groups, singers/songwriters and singers alike the opportunity to organise and perform as a live act in front of people established within the music industry. The big difference with this competition is that all the contestants taking part are encouraged to be individual and original which potentially would involve performing their on genre, style, play their own instruments and perform their own songs.
If Gareth makes it to the final he'll have the opportunity to tour and perform at as many as 50 gigs across the UK including some well known festivals, with the overall aim of getting him signed to a major record label.
The competition has also been comissioned by ITV for their new broadband channel.
