Jimmy Borja has written songs in the Philippines for artists of EMI, Sony-BMG, Viva, Warner, Star, Universal, Vicor, Alpha, Ivory, etc. with over 200 cuts from 1993 to 2008. His many hits include "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin", "If The Feeling Is Gone", "Sana Ngayong Pasko", "I Still Believe In Loving You", etc. He had a no. 1 song in that country in 2004, 2006 and 2007. This year , he has 22 cuts including songs on upcoming album releases of the Philippines' top selling-artist Sarah Geronimo, Canadian Idol finalist Martha Joy Lim, Claire dela Fuente(Viva), Christian Bautista(Warner), Mark Bautista (Viva), Ariel Rivera(Sony-BMG), etc. He moved to Nashville in 2007 and a year later was signed to a staff deal by Los Angeles based publishing firm De Walden Music International Inc., d/b/a No Restrictions Music, administered worldwide by Universal Music-MGB Songs.
