About Me

Philip Okerstrom is a sound artist, musician/composer, and sound engineer/producer.He has worked collaboratively with many artists across a number of artistic streams: Film, Television, Animation, installation, Theatre, Puppetry, Dance, Doco-Sound Art, and a Video Game! He has also Worked as an engineer/producer on a number of local bands releases. In 2007 he completed a postgraduate diploma in production - sound design at the Victorian College of the Arts / Melbourne University.Phil loves sounds. It’s not uncommon to find him experimenting and exploring the various sonic temperaments of anything that produces sound both acoustic and electric.He is currently singer and guitarist with his band “Against Method”, collaborating with close friends; Damian Mason, Steve Flieschfresser and James Cathcart **Against Method debut Album is due for release in 2009. He plays guitar in improvisational band "Gloat" with Damian Mason and long time friend Simon Ayton of Lug (This of course takes place whenever they are in the same city).... Phil collaborates with Damian Mason under the name Pluriaxial...an experimental electronic duo.
