About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)You can download the song *rats* for free!!!!founded as *crying rain* in Rome in Italy in 1989 then back to Germany Iain was looking for some musicians to form a band. in 1991 first recordings recorded as Schroedinger's cat... the first three CDs were born from one session-me and my drumcomputer Iain later said and dubbed all other instruments as tracks to the master tape ón his own..So the first 7 albums were made until 1998. between the years he made solo gigs as Busking Flatfoot Iain; it was the nickname of his time travelling around europe as a busker, in 1998 he asked some friends if they would help him to record the album and so he had the following guests: Steffen Baehr on drums; Werner Neeff played the phasered violin. Alex Weißlinde played the bass; Iain played guitar and sang...Rainer Neeff played the lead guitar on two tracks and Stefan Grob played the harmonized lead guitar on two other songs...Stefan Grob also mixed the end-mix and the rough-mix and gave Iain the possibility to work out the album while he borrowed him a multitracker. he mastered the songs to two dat-tapes... the first two tracks were recorded by Iain at the cellar of a marionette's player's house; at Michael Seifert's House, with a Tascam multitracker...the artwork was made like all artworks of schroedinger's Cat by Iain himself; now all artworks are from him the first issue of the first album; the originally artwork was made by Iain's ex-wife...after getting divorced from her he changed the artwort to another picture that better fitted to the album than came the first gig...with Stefan Krüger(bass), STeffen Baehr(drums) werner neeff violin and rainer Neeff lead-guitar and Iain played the rhythm guitar and sung as good as it was possible...coz he had awful hayfever that day; the gig was three days past the solar eclipse at the garden place of some friends. so the album live between the gates of fate was made... later on there was another gig in april 2000; with steffen baehr drums and reinhard stahl bass. between that two gigs Iain recorded about a lot of nearly 20 CDs in a few different sessions... until 2002... in february 2002 he left his wife and a very good inspiration flew out of his soul and he wrote a lot of songs, which he recorded in Berlin; to where he moved in summer 2002. before the moving to Berlin, he made some gigs with some old friend in northern west germany and he made a gig in Andernach with a band called tower of electric onions. a very good Artrock band from the Westerwald.in Berlin he's found some good musicians and with them he made one gig at a party in Belgium as Beyond the realms of sleep* it was a very good gig. but two weeks later back in Berlin the drummer died of an accident, with his motorbike. Iain went back to the county in south west, where he belonged to and started to remaster all the material he'd recorded in Berlin. later on he published some of the work as Year of the Hawk; with some old Schroedinger's Cat songs and some new material of berlin... then he opaused for 4 years, hanging around in the motorbiking scene and started slowly to write again songs for another solo-album...so the Cat story is within a brea at the moment, but it wouldn't be finished as still Iain Hawk Khan has got some ides of playing strange tunes.. Sounds Like: a madman, who is dancing around a fire, whilst playing guitar and singing in the rain, and forming songs out of totally senseless tunes and tones...and harmonic schemes...and with too much wah-pedal in a serious song and too many ecjoes and delays....and too many chorussounds and flanged thoughts whilst meeting a tremolo-efx that is kissing with raw violence a totally displaced phasing effect...and that all whilst telling you stories about the end of the world, *bout people who took too many drugs and they're trying to escape of reality whilst flyinf in a ball of glass....and strange stories about lost girl friends and lost love and waiting for the death....sounds like the deathly screamin in agony and pain prisoned voice of a madman that cannot find his tuning module and so he tries to tune the guitar whilst a endless delayed tremolo-effekt is kicking off the last rest of brain out of the volumehead of a sick guitarrist....I think the way to torture persons in medieval age was full of humanity against the stuff Iain plays...
