Cullis Entertainment was founded by Roger Cullis to encompass his ever growing list of projects in the areas of television production, music production, live music, and any other projects coming down the pipeline in the form of "Entertainment".
Music and Sports have been passions of Roger's his whole life. He has always participated in sports and has formed or been a part of several bands from the mid 1970's to the early 1990's.
He has also engineered at and managed a recording studio in Huntington, NY during the 1980's.
Many projects fill his plate. He currently produces the "Sportsnight with Bill Rosinski" TV show. He is gearing up to launch a second TV show called, "Carolina Sessions", a program that will highlight original local and regional music talent in the genres of rock, blues, and country.
He is also busy at work on several recording projects. Among them, a reunion CD with Stryder, a band that Roger and buddy, Ray Woods (founder of Rainforest Records) co-founded in NY back in the 1975. Also in the works is a solo project CD of his called "Sixty Psycho Hum", an eclectic mix of original songs melding his hard rock, metal, and blues influences. It may even contain a couple of cover songs of great significance to his musical past as well.
Roger has also been busy at work on projects with Joe Davis and with The Joe Davis Band. They are ever-present in the studio as Joe is a songwriting machine. Be sure to check out Joe's new solo acoustic CD, "Little Songs" and the crushing new CD by The Joe Davis Band called, "The Balance of Power".
Roger is also a proud 2-Time Charlotte Music Award recipient.
Recently, Roger has been persuaded to get involved with concert promotions with the beautiful Sylvia Theater in York, SC. The theater is an intimate venue that seats a few hundred people. It's an historic building that is over 100 years old and has been refurbished to a classic art-deco vibe. The theater has an excellent sound system, a full bar, an plush "green room", and there isn't a bad seat in the house.
