Once every generation comes a label that has it all! There is a songwriter with a strong stage presence and has the experience of performing in various stages in front of large audiences televised around the world. Some have considered PEEDO a legend on the underground Hiphop scene. He is also known for being the student of the world famous KRS-ONE a.k.a. “The Teacher.â€His freestyle and songwriting ability has landed him opportunities to work early on by other well known HIPHOP artists such as, HIPHOP Superstar FAT JOE, DJ Khaled, producers Cool N Dre just to name a few.
With producers, street team, professional studio, ambition, and last but not least the talent that any label could benefit from, Luna Empire has received exposure worldwide. HIPHOP has evolved into a bicoastal and multicultural movement. It has opened the doors to an arena for all those who love the music and its culture. The Luna Empire is a personification of all these traits. PEEDO, the Luna Empires first emcee, brings forth a lyrical force only portrayed by the elite emcees in the industry. This Dominican, Bronx, New York native, gained his respect as an emcee years ago when he entered the Tony Touch freestyle competition held in South Florida. This competition consisted of 42 emcees. When the smoke cleared, PEEDO was the only one standing victorious. He continued his onslaught for respect by battling rappers on the street and constantly dropping songs on the underground radio stations. Some of the stations, just to name a few, were Mixx 96.1 hosted by DJ Khaled, Blaze 104.7, WVUM 90.5, FIUs 88.9, and WEDR 99.1 aka 99 Jamz.In 1996, Fat Joe, who met PEEDO on the notorious DJ Khaled Show on Mixx 96.1, gave PEEDO the opportunity to showcase his talents on the forever classic freestyle featuring BIG PUN, FAT JOE, CUBAN LINK, TONY TOUCH and, of course, PEEDO. Realizing how much talent he truly possessed, PEEDO and the Luna Empire began their extensive and relentless pursuit to achieve mainstream success. The Luna Empire released their first EP, Time to Go, independently. In 2003, PEEDO and, head producer, GATO, had the opportunity of recording a song, How Bad Do You Want It, with the living legend KRS One. This song appeared on KRS Ones album titled The Kristyle. This feature lead to many opportunities for PEEDO and the Luna Empire to become household names in HIPHOP. One such opportunity was a live televised performance on “The Roof†a show that aired on the Mun2 network.2004 brought many things for PEEDO and the Luna Empire. A video was recorded for the first single, “4 The Money.†This video, which was recorded over the course of 2 weeks in New York City becoming a monumental milestone in Luna Empire’s history in HIPHOP. Once the video was completed, KRS One decided it was time for PEEDO to join his show on the road. PEEDO united with KRS One and began touring all over the states performing in historic venues from New York City to Los Angeles, Philadelphia to Miami, and everywhere in between. KRS One realized the true hunger of PEEDO as an emcee, and chose to help PEEDO with his latest project entitled KRS One presents PEEDO and the Luna Empire. Not only did he help, but he also has several guest appearances on the album, along with AFRIKA BAMBAATAA, FAT JOE, BIG PUN (R.I.P.), and others. Many in the Hip Hop community already consider it to be a classic album. With those notable features, how can it not be?
2004 came to a close with PEEDO second televised performance. This time it would be on an international stage during VH-1s Hip Hop Honors. This internationally televised event was made possible when FAT JOE suggested PEEDO join FAT JOE in a performance of South Bronx as a surprise for KRS ONE.In 2007, PEEDO alongside KRS ONE and FAT JOE come together to work on a song titled “New York City†in which a video is completed and being circulated worldwide. The support PEEDO has is incredible and HIPHOP accepts support from people who love and enjoy the culture and music. Get to know PEEDO and HIPHOP right now…FOR BOOKING: Email [email protected]
