Dairyland Dolls face Cleveland, Saturday Aug. 30The Dairyland Dolls, Madison's all-star roller derby team, will take on the Burning River Roller Girls of Cleveland on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Fast Forward Skate Center. This bout is the last at-home inter-league game before the Eastern Regional Tournament, in Madison, Oct. 10-12.The Dairyland Dolls, Mad Rollin' Dolls' travel team, is ranked #15 in the nation and has enjoyed a successful inter-league season this summer. They will celebrate the season with a blowout tailgate party from 4 to 6 p.m. before the bout at the Great Dane in Fitchburg. Fans are invited to hop on the Derby Bus, which will leave the High Noon Saloon at 3:45 p.m., for a ride to the Great Dane for beer, food, and mingling with the dolls. The Derby Bus leaves from the Great Dane at 6 p.m. for the rink. After the bout, it will return from Fast Forward to the Great Dane and the High Noon.The bout is at Fast Forward Skate Center, 4649 Verona Rd., Madison. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The first jam starts at 7 p.m. Tickets for the bout are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Tickets for the tailgate party package (including food and drink, rides on the Derby Bus, the bout, and the afterparty) are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Ticket outlets include Fast Forward Skate Center, Freedom/Knuckleheads, Capitol City Tattoo, Cha Cha Beauty and Barber, High Noon Saloon and Lakeside Press.
