About Me

I am a semi-retired attorney who is blessed to be married to the most wonderful woman in the world, the mother of my two terrific children. I am a comeback trumpet player after 25 years away from the horn. I play regularly around San Antonio (including every week at Church). I am in two bands, The Court Jesters and Groove Bomb. The Court Jesters have been playing around town for a couple of years now. In addition to gigs around town, we are the house band at La Fonda (Oak Hills) and play there on the first Saturday of every month. Groove Bomb is a funk band playing mostly clubs. I also get to play weekly at my church, and I have been lucky enough to solo the National Anthem at games for the San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio Silver Stars, San Antonio Rampage, and the San Antonio Wolves. I am also a big motorsports enthusiast, especially sports cars, and especially Porsches. I go to at least one great endurance race a year with friends. I've been to the 24 Hours of Daytona countless times, and of late, we have been trekking to Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta. I have been lucky enough to race on some great tracks in some great cars. Taking my 1989 Porsche Carrera on tracks has been one of the great thrills for me. Prior to my kids, Porsche club racing and time trials were my sole vice! But there weren't any layouts combining trumpet and Porsche racing, so there you go...

I also enjoy SPURS basketball, road cycling, SCUBA and camping.

Sounding taps on Wedneday

A good friend and bandmate’s Dad passed away this weekend. He was a veteran, serving in WWII, as did my Dad, and I will be playing taps for him at Ft. Sam Houston. Always an emotional moment.
