About Me

Hello!! My name is Dawn ~ I have a most wonderful 7 year old son named Jake ~ I am divorced from his dad and we are pulling off our "co parenting" roles much better than we did the marriage. We have evolved into a comfortable place as friends and Co-Parents to Jake.
My son Jake is the most important person in my life. He is an amazingly intelligent and personable child and so wise beyond his years ~ I'm convinced he is an old soul in a young body. I could go on and on about him ~ however you get the point!


I am currently dating a very special guy ~ his name is Eric.

I have four very very spoiled cats! um...did I mention spoiled!!
Don't confuse coincidence with fate...
I started out after college being an Orthodontic Assistant...love it and did it for 7 years.
I then moved on to being a 911 Dispatcher for the Portage Police Dept...Loved that job even more! A lot of amazing memories and it was a job I was born to do...however shift work was taking its toll. So after 7 years I moved on.
I then worked for Judge Jent at the Porter Superior Court for another 7 years...not sure what's up with seven! LOL
Currently Im a stay at home mom...after working for 21 years I took an early retirement due to a medical condition.
I love being there for Jake and doing all the cool mom stuff...its so me right now!
I love to draw and paint.
I love photography.
I love animals,
I love cheesy B&W scary movies.
I love my mom more than I can say.
I hate the word hate.
I hate child or animal abusers.
I hate cancer.
I hate that in every life a lot of bad happens.

Day 118

Today is day 118.118 days without my  mom.Never thought I would make it one let alone this many.I have less moments of crying and that is in part due to the fact that I still cant look at her picture....
