About Me

Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own!Welcome to the official website of The Craze.Five years after the so-called New Rock Revolution, three years after the Artic Monkeys-Myspace explosion, and 18 months after Nu-Rave, where is there next for alternative music to go? Easy: pillage from the past, learn from the present, but essentially, do whatever you want.Where does this leave us? Conveniently, in exactly the space The Craze currently occupy. It'd be easy to roll out the tired old 'Who, Beatles, Smiths etc' influences - nonsensical even. But with the great rock hereoes of the past so ingrained in the heads of the band's four members - after many hours listening to the likes of 'My Generation', 'Revolver' and 'The Queen Is Dead' - it's hard to see how those sounds wouldn't infiltrate through into The Craze's music.Still, what you'll find in the sound of The Craze is a melting pot of five decades of popular music: From the straw-between-the-teeth of 'Cornflower Blues' to the nihilistic, Supergrass-esque 'Doctor', it's indie with a heart, soul and brain. Whether you think music hasn't been the same since 1974, you almost OD'd when Pete left The Libertines, or you believe Shed Seven are the last word in cool, you're sure to find something in The Craze that you love. Just don't expect this to be another hollow revolution. If you like what you hear please leave us a comment and tell your friends to check us out.
