Who am I? I am a musician! :-) I started to study piano in 1984 taking private lessons. Together with my scientific and literary studies grew my love for rock music and, above all, for the Seventy historical bands: Genesis, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas, Rush, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Yes, ELP, Jethro Tull, The Who, Uriah Heep contributed to form my musical and writing taste. At the beginning of the Nineties I joined a Marillion and Genesis cover band with Simone Rossetti but after a good number of rehearsals I left the line-up (we will collaborate nearly ten years later in the The Watch). I first met the drummer Alessandro Di Caprio in some bands from Milan (Lighthouse Keepers, Ice Chain) performing either original songs and hard rock and progressive rock covers. In 1996 the experience with the Trois Fois Rien, one of the few Italian bands singing in French, taught me the craft to write and arrange charming pop songs. But the love for progressive music pushed me and Alessandro to find other musicians to share this passion. In 1998 we met Stefano Mancarella, Lorenzo Marotta and Walter Gorreri and together we gave life to Ubi Maior. In 2000 Simone Rossetti asked me to join his project The Watch, born on the ashes of the Nightwatch. I accepted with excitement and, after some promo concerts in France and in Spain, I played keyboards for the album "Ghost". The CD got enthusiastic reviews, especially for the Genesis-like atmospheres which rose from the tracks of the CD. The promotional tour took The Watch in Italy, Belgium, Holland, France, Mexico and Germany. In 2004 I decided to leave the band to dedicate myself completely to Ubi Maior. On the eve of the release of "Vacuum", the second The Watch album, Ubi Maior were already writing their debut album. "Nostos" was released in October 2005. Great reviews and a good number of concerts in Italy drove, in May 2006, Ubi Maior to play in Belgium along with Calliope and Consorzioacquapotabile (CAP). In the summer of 2006 I began the recordings of my solo album: a concept based on the history of "Númenor", a tale extracted from The Silmarillion, the cosmological book of J.R.R. Tolkien's world. Many artists and friends have been helping me in the making of the album, such as elements from Ubi Maior, The Watch, Darksky, Winter Mist, Dunwich and 3 Dreams Never Dreamt and three important international singers: Damian Wilson, who has been singing for various bands like Landmarq, Threshold, Ayreon, Star One and Rick Wakeman, Ted Leonard from Enchant and Zachary Stevens who was the lead singer during the nineties for Savatage and now is the frontman for Circle II Circle. ..
