The feature film is based on the Oscar-nominated short film, which has developed a bit of a cult following around the world. Like the short, CASHBACK tells the story of Ben Willis, an art student who develops insomnia after a devastating breakup, and starts a night shift at his local Sainsbury’s. There he meets a colourful cast of characters, who all have perfected their own 'art' in dealing with the boredom of an eight hour shift.
The short won the top prize at fifteen international film festivals, and the feature has generated similar acclaim on the festival circuit. Audiences worldwide have responded to CASHBACK’s innovative visuals, oddball humor, and cinematic musings on art, love, and lust.
