Bill-Minus are a four piece indie rock band hailing from the south east of Ireland. Coming together from the ashes of various local groups Bill-Minus set out to create their own unique style and sound. Influenced by classic bands such as The Beatles, The Who, Radiohead and The Stone Roses to name a few the onus was to make their songs big, melodic and accessible,things a lot of groups tend to shy away from. In february 08 they set up camp for a weekend in data recording studios, tralee and recorded the three tracks which should be playing as you read this.The demo has been gaining high praise of late,including a review by Tracy Lynch in Kilkenny,Galway"The Voice Magazine" on her weekly myspace music review. Focusing on Ships and Play in the the dirt, she says "I found myself singing along to both like i'd been listening to them for years" and goes on to describe Bill Minus as "An unsigned band as of now,but thats sure to change if they throw out a few more tracks as its definitely a sound for both airwaves and live shows"(full review in the blog section above). The group have been playing in venues up and down the country over the last few months to a great reaction, supporting well known Irish live acts as The Flaws and Ham Sandwich and have also began to gain frequent local airplay around the south east.
