New Taxandria

New Taxandria is not a band. It's a virtual land that is created by dreams. Dreams we all need to keep going. Dreams about a better world to live in. A world without wars, weapons and military. A world without inhumanity. Something worth fighting for.
The New Taxandria Foundation is based on the vision of a planet without borders. More than 60 years ago Bing Crosby & the Andrews sisters had a huge hit with their song 'Don't Fence Me In', expressing the freedom to go where you want. Not being posessed with the idea that it's possible to virtually own land, because this is what caused a lot of misery through the ages. The land belongs to our planet, not to mankind. We have to take our own responsibilities to preserve the biosphere that keeps us alive and do our best to raise its quality.
Creating new land has always been the premium expertise of the Dutch people. It's done by hard labour and a close contact with the overwhelming forces of nature. New Taxandria might be a virtual discovery, the physical gain for its citizens is tremendous, because of the raised quality of life.
Although the name Taxandria is chosen after the homeland of the creator, New Taxandria does not have any geographical borders. Anybody in this world can be a citizen of it by chosing a lifestyle that cherishes its values. If the physical authorities don't approve of it, you'll have to find out what needs to be changed. Inhabitants of New Taxandria have an extra virtual nationality, which does not mean to collide with local governments and the traditions of their culture. The purpose of New Taxandria is to add freedom, not to overthrow the ruling powers by anarchy or violence. It's a land that evolves like nature and is complementary to the physical nation the New Taxandrian lives in.
