About Me

Duane Wilson has a diverse background in music which he attributes to making him the the bass player he is today. Duane played with many different groups during his teens, from Folk to Funk from Country to Rock. In 1989 he co-formed a fusion trio with guitarist Chris Nix called The Nix Group. They opened shows for Eric Johnson & Dixie Dregs. Duane eventually found a group of musicians whose interest varied as much as his with the Groove Dogs and toured the college circuit through the 90's & opened shows for artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd & Little Feat. Now, Duane can still be found entertaining audiences across the country with his distinctive chops and grooves that keep him the in demand player he is.
