Apophis 9 aka Jsun

Apophis is the Greek name of the Ancient Egyptian enemy of Ra: Apep, the Uncreator, a serpent that dwells in the eternal darkness of the Duat (underworld) and tries to swallow Ra during his nightly passage. Apophis, also known as JSun, uses this name to express the antithesis of JSun, to represent the darkness, the negative that coincides with the positive within all beings, all creations, and life itself. Apophis 9 (JSun) is no stranger to the underworld, or underground. He has been an MC since the age of 8, with some of the freshest lyrics and freestlye capabilities one could possess at such a young age. He also has been deejaying since he was 15 and has had the opportunity to play in Canada, France, Spain, and Greece along with traveling around the west coast of the United States to play music. As the co-founder of Deep Groove Society in 1999 along with Dj Sequoia, Apophis 9 (JSun) has risen from the deep underground to provide and create a network of passionate musicians, producers, artist, dancers, and a massive community that is dedicated to expressing the wonderful power that music and underground dance music creates. Since 1999 he has teamed up with long time friends deejays/producers; The Middle Agent, Jan Van Lier, Emptyhead (dj Boogie), and Dj Touch to create a solid foundation of underground music in the community in which he and his cohorts hold residencies, promote, and put on gatherings. These gatherings have become a staple of what underground events should be, retaining the quality of music, and still possessing the vibration that the music WE ALL love so much emits. He is part of a nasty duo called Napkin Face, which has produced tracks that have been played all around the world by such heavy hitters like Carl Cox and Mark Lewis. Apophis 9 (Jsun) is like the rising and setting of the sun and moon, a perplexing, yet well balanced creation of lightness and darkness that puts his heart and soul into deejaying, producing, and dancing.
