Paul Lowe, Jr. is a true entertainer in the music world.
A Connecticut native, Lowe began his career playing tenor and soprano
saxophone in his hometown Westport, Connecticut at age 9. During his middle
school and high school years, he studied under Gregg Winters, Candida
Innaco, John Mastroianni, Tom Gibbons. He also studied at the
Neighborhood Music School in New Haven, Connecticut. He studied musical
composition and production under Lee Walkup and Fred Rossomundo.
Paul performed in a jazz trio with his younger siblings, Veronica Lowe and
Douglas Arthur Lowe. The trio, known as the Young Jazee Vibes incorporated many styles
into jazz including Swing, Dixieland, Big Band, BeBop, Gospel, Vocal, Hip
Hop, Klezmer, and Contemporary. While a member of the Young Jazee Vibes,
Lowe recorded two albums and embarked on 2 national tours.
While a member of Young Jazee Vibes, and under the direction of artist management company BHA Artists Management, Lowe’s background in Jazz and music composition were enhanced. He became members of various jazz and composition organizations including but not limited to
The American Federation of Jazz Societies, Connecticut Composers, Inc.,
Connecticut Songwriters Association, The Sidney Bechet Society, The
Hartford Jazz Society, and the American Society of Composer, Authors and
Publishers (ASCAP). To date, he has over 50 copyrighted musical works.
Lowe also performed at the Sidney Bechet Society, Jazzin’ the Catskills, Litchfield Jazz Festival, The Great Connecticut JazzFest, and at various Jewish Homes for the Elderly, Churches, Synagogues Schools and Hospitals throughout New England. He was also the band leader and music director of the Shelton Middle School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of his mentor Lee Walkup.
Lowe attended Brown University and majored in Modern Culture/Media and
minored in music.
Lowe launched the music production company Trinity Rhode Productions with
his partner Larry Lassiter, Jr. in 2005. He also launched the entertainment venture - Nisi Entertainment Group - currently focusing on Music, Graphic and Industrial Design, and T.V./VideoProduction. Since the inception of Nisi Entertainment Group and Trinity Rhode Productions, Lowe has done numerous performances and appearances. He has shared the stage with artists such as, Walter Beasley, LL Cool J, Omarion, and 112. He has also appeared on BET's 106 and Park. Stay tuned for more updates on Paul Lowe, Jr.
