**
2004:
- Space Needle split but Lex carried on doing solo gigs with a drum machine.
- Worked with Russian producer Rouslan Tsar on "Neon Bright", his first studio album. The twelve glam-goth tracks of the record were completed the day Leo Fender died.
- Lots of fanzine reviews on the LP & indie radio slots in the USA, UK & France.

**
2005:
- Lex bought his trademark guitar, a Gibson SG Standard, on returning from London.
- Lex created the garage-punk group Lex Riders & The Machine Gun (the name was chosen at random from a Damned record) featuring the best drummer in the city, Vincent Bonjour (known by some as the "French Charlie Watts"!).

- Machine Gun performed in renowned rock clubs such as Le Gibus (Johnny Thunders, Police) and the New Morning (BB King, James Brown).

2007:
- Machine Gun’s ultimate performance at the Batofar. During the last song of the set ("I Want You", a MC5 cover) Lex threw himself into the crowd wearing only a pair of jeans, and ended up lying on the floor in his own blood, still snarling & shouting! A classic performance for the lucky ones who attended the show!
- Lex befriended Hollywood actress Kirsten Dunst & Razorlight singer Johnny Borrel in a Irish pub.
- Two ex-members of Machine Gun accompanied Lex to rocking Paris’ mythical 1960’s venue, Le Bus Palladium (The Beatles, Serge Gainsbourg), opening for Jellyfuzz. The new hard-blues combo performed under the name of Shoot Your Idols (a subtle reference to Meredith Hunter, the boy stabbed to death at the Altamont).
- Shoot Your Idols recorded the "Catfight/Baby Sharks" single in a four-day session at Microbes Studios. Mastering done in Switzerland. In perfect "Spinal Tap" fashion, Lex performed his vocals totally nude. Not surprisingly, the single received positive world-wide indie press reviews & radio slots!
- Photo shoots for the cover of the single, featuring Asian female model Varna.
- Shoot Your Idols opened for The Elderberries at Glaz’Art. The following day, the band went on a tour of France, supporting The Wayward Gentlewomen. In Montigny-les-Vesoul, Lex got french-kissed onstage by local groupies who had their boyfriend with them (but there was no fight!). The tour ended at the OPA Bastille (a NYC-loft lookalike club in Paris).
