Al Hughson

Born in 1961 I consider myself fortunate to have entered this world in one of the great change decades of the twentieth century. I started playing as a classical guitarist having missed the opportunity to play violin through illness and so developed my love of guitar driven music. Over the years I have worked with a number of bands in varied genres and formats but I always return to Celtic traditional themes using the tools developed by rock music. In recent years I have spent my time writing and publishing on the internet and I feel it is this medium that has really freed artists from the money grabbing of the majors.
