P enitentia was formed on August 2007 by a group of UPLB students who dreams of making a noise in the local underground music scene. With members Jec Castillo, Leland Cordova, Ferdie Pendon, and former bassist Kit Clarito, Penitentia first played in Anger is a Gift,
one of the series of gigs organized by Voltaire of VOC. Lester Faraon later joined them, giving the band its distinct hard-hitting sound. And earlier this year, Andoy Obedoza replaced Kit as the band's bassist.
