About Me

Well, well...FUSE were a late 90's punk/metal/sludge/spaghetti western hard core band .We were a Woodstock/Kingston/Tannersville (haha) band from the same once insular scene as bands like Dripping Goss, Mearth, Shabutie/Coheed, Spin Cycle Lava, Joey's Throwin' Elbows, Three,Stealth and Jerk Magnet. Broke up before we got our due respect but did manage to have a great and legendary drunken live show. Indie releases of an impossible to find nature include: Off Road---- (1997 Cassete-probably our most popular, feat. 2 Bearsville Studios Songs produced by Todd Vos, Some shit recorded in Catskill with lots of Beast Ice consumed and 2 CBGB's live tracks from this hellish fuckin' night when Nate Kelley (ex Shabutie/Coheed) drove us in his Shabut-van and we broke down on the way home in the ghetto then pushed the van to Claudio's house @ 3 a.m. or something after waiting in the fucking Best Western for 6 hours watching a retard eat gravy fries). On the way to mix this tape Jesse's Chevy Malibu got slammed head on by some bitch ass white hat jock idiot and his bippy twat gf and the side of the car got ripped off. i had just buckled my seatbelt a minute before. We also used to be cursed that whenever we wrote a new song, that night on the way home we'd always hit a new kind of animal accidentally. WTF!!!! ---Organizm---recorded by Daniel Goodwin in germantown,NY. A full length of mighty endeavors, more car wrecks and broken heads/hearts. I STILL HAVE 600+ Copies of ORGANIZM, IF ANYONE WANTS ONE MYSPACE ME (myspace.com/morgandivest) . I remeber we were in the studio and while we were trying to track someone would always be on zoolove.com, don't go there----Error 404 "Not Found" = "a compilation Morgan Evans put together with Error 404 records Tom Moretti feat. bands like Shabutie, Fuse, Stealth, Jerk Magnet & more"...strangely the phrase "be the engineer" some how ended up in a Coheed song...whatever...who cares...maybe it was unconcious...still like them...anyway, the reward has to be in the work regardless of the outcome, especially if no one else fucking cares or remembers or even knows... I'll probably never be famous or acknowledged even after busting my ass for the cause for years. As for FUSE=It was a great fucking time to be alive and a mess...we lied and said we recorded our 2 tracks at an imaginary studio called 665 "neighbor of the beast" studios by Archibald Sweeney and Leo Alvarez. Damien Shannon went on to be an engineer and assist on records like Saliva, Ween and Ziggy Marley. Adam Heyer (drums) and Andrew once taunted the singer of Saliva by telling some strippers he was gay that were trying to sleep with Josey and that Adam and this guy Andrew wanted for their own. Andrew was a dude with a tatoo on his neck that just says "Red" in big red letters. One time I was with those dudes and we were geeked (the last time for me ever) and it was after a Clutch show and this girl was stranded so we kindly drove her all the way back home across NJ, but Andrew convinced her we were kidnapping her and said "you'll love Tannersville"...that was nice...and then we went into McDonalds and there were 2 dudes having anal sex in the bathroom... Jesse Cunningham left for the Army and is now back home safe, married and killing his axe regularly in longben (www.myspace.com/longben). Morgan Evans (me) sings for Pontius Pilate Sales Pitch w Nate Kelley (myspace.com/pontiuspilatesalespitch), The Trenches and until recently DIVEST (myspace.com/divest), who released a 7" on Dr Know from bad brains FKM records label (fkmrecords.com). FUSE is of course now a name associated with a huge fucking international music channel...I'm sure they have the interests of the revolution in mind. (ahem)...Hail, hail Snug's HArbor...never cover Aerosmith when blacked out...Bat Boy for president...Lefty is our only fan.here's our old, crap, pretentious IUMA bio:(i i mean it's rrrrreally pretentious)Fuse is a bunch of guys who bonded together in 1997 to create something new out of the oozing remains of rock n' roll. Selecting their favorite aspects of multiple musical genres, like archaeologists seeking prize specimens. Fuse take the materials at hand and meld them into a fresh sound. The songs on "Organizm" the band's first full length cd are emotive, heavy experimental and confrontational dealing with life's craziness in this day and age. The theme of the album is finding the ability in oneself to evolve into a higher organism, to escape dialectic praxis monotony once and for all. It is also a metaphor for sexual climax, obviously.Recorded Dec. 98 through July 99, at The ClubHouse Studios in Germantown, NY with Daniel Goodwin (Spin Cycle Lava), this cd is a paradigm shift of churning and heaving sound.Fuse is a 4 piece made up of Morgan Y. Evans (vocals), Damien Shannon (guitar), Graig Mosher (bass), Adam Heyer (drums) and ex-5th member Jesse Cunningham (guitar). Also appearing on this album is guest rapper/hardcore front man G-Pace of the band Stealth. The band is also featured on the Error404 Records "Not Found" CD compilation featuring 11 of the Hudson Valley's most cutting edge bands.Fuse is approaching the turn of the century with the direction of their music, that will change like the time and evolve like the seasons. Good cd from the Hudson Valley's most infected band.
The singer is cool, he rocks like Jim Morrison meets Glenn Danzig - cool baby.
while the band grinds the mayhem.
Someone plays a Power Drill on the last track, how musical can you get?
Very..... Buy this cd because you will be satisfied like an evening of wild
pounding sex.

You THINK you wake up in the morning, open the refrigerator, yank an egg from its carton, crack it and fry it up, then shove it down into the recesses of your stomach.
The next day, you THINK you wake up, crack the same goddamn white smooth egg that pours out the same slimy yolk and consume it without thinking.
Another day, another egg... another day, another egg... until it becomes so routine that the enjoyment you once had from sucking down that spongy, slimy mass disappears, leaving you with a hollow ritual perform because your irrational unconcious deems it necessary.
Then one day, you actually wake up. You reach into the fridge, grab an egg and crack it... and there, lying in the frying pan is a bloody, shivering chick, its pale yellow wings cringing at the pan's searing temperature.
Consume this. This is Fuse. This is meat for your ears. Cathartic chicken carcass.

Fuse are an excellent band. Somewhere between grunge
and thrash, Morgan Evans voice rises above many others in the mid hudson valley area rock seen. Fuse will be playing at Snug's Harbor, New Paltz, November 12th with Next Man Flip and possibly Darling Demoniac... Be there..(21 or over to get in)Personal faves:red rhino-wisdom extractor.

Since that memorable august night in 98 when morgan handed me a free copy of FUSE's OFF ROAD
tape,( and i forced their mesmorizing dream-like trax into my blood stream like heroin) I've been addicted.
When my walkman was stolen, i was more concerned with the fact that OFF ROAD was trapped within its
chambers. (i'm still sad about that) Thankfully, ORGANISM was released with two of my favorites from
OFF ROAD included.

A delicious blend of heavy and melody, growls and subdued
quieter numbers. The song "source" is simple and mellow but
pulls me in like a personal dream you want to share with
someone but don't have all the words for. "Red Rhino" is the
toughest song. Sick intro and middle part with the evil
solo. I wonder if Fuse has any other releases? People should
check this out, it's way cool.

An unbelievable effort from this band, the quality of
songcraft and lyrix are well above average for this genre.
Grunge meets Thrash meets psychedelic.
Smoke one and have beer (or many)... Vocalist Morgan Evans provides the MC for this 11 tracks of thud and thunder.
Personal faves - Red Rhino - Kill Praxis and Widsom Extractor. Thanks.
