About Me

I was a teenager of the seventies and listened mostly to my mom and dad's old record collection along with some of my older brother's stuff. He always bought a good varietyof music. I was a fan of all musical genres. I loved the old Hank Williams and Conway Twitty and Tennessee Ernie Ford and Elvis and many more. I played the heck out of all those records. Those songs have stuck in my head. In the mid 70's I started liking rock and roll and pop songs. At about fifteen or sixteen I rarely listened to the country anymore, I'd went pop and rock for awhile! I recall being crazy over "She's some kind of Wonderful" by Grand Funk Railroad. Hotel California was good listening. I also listened to Dawn, Bread, The Beach Boys, Tommy James, Sugarloaf and KC & The Sunshine Band, Creedance Clearwater Revival , JGeils Band, and I can't leave out Lynyrd Skynyrd! I remember many, many influences during those times. But along with those memories are to many songs to list here! As a matter of fact, I have a never ending list of bands and songs I loved. I will not try to name all those because ---I'd probably still leave some out! Then after all those years, as I matured someone turned me back on to a couple of country songs once again. Then I was feeling some new lyrics myself. I kind of felt the intensity of "Gone Country". I came back! I 'm thankful as a child we had to be imaginative in play. Because I believe it helped me to be a more creative sole. I always loved to write poetry and I loved to draw and paint pictures. I also loved to write short stories. I went through a very shy stage in my youth. I am still somewhat shy about lots of things. After many years in retail and then in the medical profession, I never gave up my early dreams of songwriting. Everywhere I have worked I brought in songs or poems to be read by my peers. Posted in bulletins, newspapers etc. I grew up an Army brat and traveled abroad for most of my young life. I have kept poems from those years. It facinates me to write a song. ...to see a story come to life. I like writing songs that people can relate to. I am writing mostly country and I have a good variety of song demos. Something for everyone. I am not stuck on anything in particular. I am new at this myspace stuff...but not new to writing...I will post my songs each week for artists, new artists and fans and publishers. I own all the copyrights to both the music and lyrics on all my original pieces. Please feel free to contact me about rights and permissions on anything of interest. I am a member of the Country Music Association and the Nashville Songwriters Association International. I've joined a lot of music groups and forums. I hope to connect with other songwriters, artists and musicians. My strength comes from God, my family and my friends....new friends and the old..I thank all of you for your support. I appreciate everyone who listens. I have wrote many hit potential and some junk. Sometimes the silliest idea turns into a really good song. I write variety...funny, sad and love...some true stories, some made up...but most have happened even if they were imaginary! I can write childrens tunes, gospel, pop ...not just country. I hope you enjoy the demo tracks and please feel free to leave a comment! I'm here to connect...I'm always looking for some new opportunities to co-write with some really great songwriters and artists. I am not here to promote myself as an artist...but only as a songwriter! Check out the tunes right here ...they change often...if you like something...let me know!
