Music (see below) and art (Edward Hopper, Ross Bleckman, Ed Ruscha, Andy Goldsworthy, Jack Vettriano, Vija Celmins, Tom Friedman, and Dali). I like reading. I like having the freedom to do nothing. It feels nice, but only in moderation. I like architecture and design. I like reading National Geographic and news and music magazines. I like antique stores (preferably the ones that are run by old people, because they generally have cooler stuff and aren't ridiculously overpriced). I just got a super cool Johnny Horton record from one recently and it was in perfect condition. I'm pretty happy about that. I like listening to records.
People
Good music. I've been listening to a lot of MIA, Lee Hazelwood, Giant Drag, Great Lake Swimmers, Devandra Banhart, TV on the Radio, Ricky Nelson, Gordon Lightfoot, Sons and Daughters, Elliot Smith, Air, Zero 7, Debussy, Lovers, Morcheeba, Portishead, Iron & Wine, Marty Robbins, PJ Harvey, Low, and The Shins lately... and I pretty much always listen to Mirah, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, and The Microphones/Mount Eerie (a.k.a. the best band nobody likes). If I actually listed all the music I like this list would go on forever, so I'm just going to keep it at that. Oh, and the Capote soundtrack is reallly good too.
I really like David Lynch, Noah Baumbach, Wes Anderson, and David Fincher. I love Barcelona, Metropolitan, and Kicking and Screaming (not the Will Ferrel movie) a lot.
Northern Exposure, Six Feet Under, and Twin Peaks. The only shows I watch on a regular basis that are actually still on the air are Top Chef and Project Runway.
Chuck Palahniuk and Edward Gorey are pretty cool. I also really like JD Salinger and Craig Clevenger. The Contortionist's Handbook, Franny and Zooey, and Survivor should be read by all.
