Does this lady need an introduction? Because once you hear a song with Stephanie Cooke's distinct, heartfelt, emotive vocals you will instantly know her unique voice. Stephanie as well as a singer is an accomplished songwriter whose discography and writing credits are a source of inspiration for all fans of vocal music. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, She found the start of her journey in the humble beginnings of her local church. Joining the choir gave Stephanie the tools to develop her singing and arrangement skills to get her to where she is today. Proudly introducing this new release on Camio Recordings is Jonny Montana together with Stephanie Cooke to bring together a fine vocal delivery with production that suitably compliments the release.
Also, as part of the package are an array of HOT remixes from Bittersuite, who hits it off on a deep old school tip. Marlon Sadler takes the song to the dancefloor with great use of synths. Also, an organ dub by Jonny Montana and Rob Redford. Check that killer organ solo! The final mix by Abicah Soul will be added when the song goes on general release on the 29th of Dcember 2008.
Jonny Montana is fast becoming a producer to keep an eye on. He's worked alongside and remixed an array of vocalists, Noel Mckoy (Acid Jazz Records), Pete Simpson, Arnold Jarvis, Jannae Jordon, Carolyn Victorian, Alton Miller, Tamjaa, Yvonne Yanney (James Taylor Quartet), Claude Bain, Rainy Payne, Monique Henry and he's currenty waiting on vinyl releases from work he's done with Acid Jazz Records, Phuturesole Recordings and Consortium Muzik. He's also working on the debut album The Love Planet under the Collective Spirits name with Neil Mclean, Tanta-zawadi , and Dana Byrd. Which will be available on CD in the New Year.

Jonny's obsession with soulful music started in the late 80's via the early Acid Jazz scene. After tasting the Jazz dancing, percussion playing electric atmosphere first hand via "The Fridge" and various night spots in London, and listening to the likes of Noel Mckoy, Galliano, Snowboy, JTQ, Stone cold boners, Mother Earth, D-Influence. He soon got hooked on that sound.
In and around 1993 he bought his first pair of turntables and was introduced to deep soulful house music, over the next decade he honed his skill's as a DJ, playing various parties and relocating to Ibiza Town for a number of years.
He returned to the UK, and set up his own record label called "Camio Recordings" in 2004 releasing music from various talented producers. The first of which was a track entitled "The Dawn" by NJ producer Jihad Muhammad. The song was well recieved in the US and did especially well in Japan on vinyl. Which led to it being licenced for CD compilations on a couple of occassion in Japan. Camio has also had the pleaseure of working with producers Groove Assassin, Reelsoul, Kenny Carvajal, Deep Inc, Mario Basanov, Dom Navarra, Stacey Mallory, Guy Robin, Lonewolf, UPZ and Anto Vitale.
Jonny now runs the label with Groove Assassin, and decided to move into production in 2005, and up to now has worked with a number of talented vocalists including Stephanie Cooke, Noel Mckoy (James Taylor Quartet, Acid Jazz Records) Yvonne Yanney (James Taylor Quartet), Pete Simpson (Sunburst Band), Claude Bain, Tantra-zawadi, Dana Byrd (album forthcoming), also on various remix projects for Stephanie Cooke, Arnold Jarvis, Monique Henry, Ceramic, Alton Miller amongst others.
