I am here for Friends

About Me

...a few things: i love to cook really big elaborate meals for people i care about and watch them enjoy (no one ever complains) ...i'm good at massages... I'm an artist... which means a lot of different things to different people, but if you are one, you understand the implications. I'm kinda off the wall, i like to make jokes in awkward situations which sometimes make people feel more awkward for a second but then we laugh and its all ok... i really hate small talk. i know its imperative in getting to know someone but i think you can learn more about someone by asking their views on life and current events- whether they care or think bout the world at all- then extrapolate (or psychoanalyze...) what that means about the kind of person they are... you follow? I'm a christian. its a big deal to me. its not about organized religion and church, its about jesus, ask if your curious, i'd be happy to expound. i don't like trying to summarize myself inside a little box, there are too many levels to a human to summarize oneself in 100 words or less... i love meeting people and getting to know someone new, finding mutal interests and commonalities. So you can learn about me by asking questions, message me.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

people with interests in any kind of art... (musical, visual) ...creative people... people who are self confident (not ARROGANT though) and don't constantly need reassurance from around them that they're OK... people who are willing to question norms and muse over philosophies... or just kick back and watch some old SNL with a plate of nachos... versatality is key... i guess just people who are interesting to talk to and make me think...

Gods soft spot for underdogs and gambling

We have all felt like the underdog at some point, and this is a story about how Jesus loves the underdog, Jesus was the underdog, and Jesus relishes in making the underdog the hero. A long time ago, i...

Narnia and beyond

C.S. Lewis is so brilliant. As you read the Chronicles of Narnia some of the metaphoric revelations may be overlooked for their subtlety, until maybe the second or third reading (or watching, in the c...

hysterical-god-worship

God is so cool. I know that sounds like a cheesy attempt by a youth pastor to relate his floundering adolescents to God, but I don't know what else to say. I was laughing hysterically, like a lunatic ...

And Now I See...

They called the man back a second timethe man who had been blind and told him, "Give credit to God. We know this man is an impostor." He replied, "I know nothing about that one way or the other. But...

God the Daddy

God the father. Such a common phrase, repeated until it's stripped of meaning, always there, yet never considered.   Some people, when they link this idea of God as the father with what they kno...
