Black Thoughts

Black Thoughts arose from a project planned bye Emiliano Basile (Drums) and Pablo Castagneda (Vocals) during summer 2006-2007. The main idea was to mix hard rock with other music genders, mainly blues and psychedelic rock. Emiliano took care of gathering the rest of the musicians, the first one to arribe was Simón Yulan (Say) on guitarrs, who Basile contact by means of a web site, next Fransisco Santarelli (Francis), brother of a Basile's friend, who was at a first moment requiered to play bass, but, a chance came up for Marco Acosta (a former Basile's partner on a previous band) to take that position, so Francis, who's also a great guitar player, ended up in such a rol. That way, the first line up took shape, wich had it's first meeting at Marko's home in may 9th 2007. The first rehearsal took place next monday. Only two weeks later Castegneda left the band and Francis took charge of the vocal parts. In time the band found it's definite direction in musical style, where their main influences stood out, such as hard rock/classic metal, funk and blues. For a while the band tryed without luck to find a lead singer (so Francis could concentrate only on the guitar parts) and decided to make his first live show with the following line up: Francis (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Say (Guitar & Backing Volcals), Marko (Bass), Basile (Drums) and his brother Alejandro (guest singer in two songs) in november 11th 2007. During February 2008, Francis went apart from the band, and left it without voice nor one of their guitars until march when Sergio joined the band on guitars and backing vocals and Victor on vocals a few days later; playing for the first time with this new line-up at Salamanca Bar on june 13th 2008. However this new line-up would last just until end of that same year, when Victor was sent apart for musical differences. His replacement would be Gerónimo Abalos, who joined the band in april 2009._______________________________________________________ ___________Black Thoughts surgió a partir de un proyecto planificado entre Emiliano Basile (batería) y Pablo Castagneda (voz) en el verano de 2006-2007, la idea principal era mezclar el hard rock con otros diversos estilos, principalmente blues y rock psicodélico. Emiliano fue quien se encargó de buscar el resto de los músicos, el primero en aceptar fue Simón Yulan (Say) en guitarra, a quien Basile contacto mediante un aviso en una pagina web, lo siguió Francisco Santarelli (Francis), hermano de una amiga de Basile, él en un primer momento habia sido requerido como bajista pero se presentó la oportunidad que Marco Acosta (Marko, antigüo compañero de banda de Basile) ocupara esa posición por lo que Francis, también un hábil guitarrista fuera movido a dicho rol. Así de esta manera fue conformada la primera formación, la cual tuvo su primera reunión para discutir la orientación del proyecto el día 09 de mayo de 2007 en casa de Marko. El primer ensayo de la banda se sucedió el lunes siguiente (14-05) en una sala de ensayos de la zona oeste de la ciudad de Rosario. Tan solo dos semanas despúes P.Castagneda avandonaría la banda, quedando Francis como encargado también de las partes vocales. Con el paso del tiempo se fue encontrando el rumbo definitivo en cuanto el estilo musical, donde resaltaron las influencias del Hard Rock / Metal Clásico, del Funk y del Blues. Se fueron sucediendo encuentros con diferentes cantentes pero sin poder dar con el indicado luego de unos meses la banda decidió dar paso a su primer presentación con la siguiente formación: Francis (Guitarra y Voz), Say (Guitarra y Coros), Marko (Bajo), Basile (Batería) y su hermano Alejandro Basile como cantante invitado, la presentación de la banda se dio como artistas unicos de la noche en el bar Costumbres Argentinas IV el día 11 de noviembre de 2007. En febrero de 2008 se produjo el alejamiento de la banda de Francis, dejando a la banda momentáneamente sin voz y sin una guitarra, hasta que a mediados de marzo se produciría el ingreso a la banda de Sergio en guitarra y coros y unos días después de Victor en voces; haciendo el debut con esta nueva formación en Salamanca Bar el día 13 de junio de 2008. Sin envargo esta nueva alineación solo duraría hasta fines de ese mismo año, cuando Victor es alejado de la banda por diferencias musicales.
