After meeting at college during the 1980’s and both holding a vast and driven interest in technology, music, art and film, Jo Publik and Sheer Zed started to hang out and talk. Indeed, becoming fast friends many sound experiments ensued with Frank and Fanny Fanastic and The Golden Nostrum (finally then becoming The Fanastics, after one Andy Henderson left the group to later become the drummer for Echobelly) Then came The Ultra Mega Crucial Crew, a multi media art project, fusing Hip-Hop, Electronica, Rock and slide projections (featuring Simon Ashdown on guitar, the son of Lord Ashdown). Using samplers, media source materials and the now legendary Yamaha DX7 keyboard, both Publik and Zed explored seemingly sporadic and random converging explosions of ideas which sent waves far into the future. Then the all encompassing void swallowed this cosmic duo, both lost and found in parallel lives. Liquid time and it’s following experiences have once again brought these two envoys of this sublime continuum together to ask the nagging, incessant and essential question...Damn Good Men?
