Sounds Like: Kandidates have an aggressive attitude, up-front lyrics, energetic verbal flow, slamming grooves, big sounds, dynamic production – all of it’s hear ready to blow you away as the Kandidates break it down with their ear-smashing, body-shaking hip-hop hooks. There’s no shortage of potency in Kandidates’ music. Every element of the music hits in perfect sync, so crank the volume, bump the bass and dig into the meaty words of this rap act that bristles with vitality. Of course, not every song is a club-shaker. The more chilled side of hip-hop is also present in the Kandidates’ repertoire. The group even has a sense of humor – in one song, 80s style rap is unabashedly referenced. They are rappers on a roll. The momentum is building from a strong start. There’s nothing stopping Kandidates’ DaBate and Areeze in their quest to make it to the pinnacle of the hip-hop world. These are musical kings in the making. “Music is the greatest feeling ever,” declares the Kandidates, and the listener has no problem whatsoever picking up on those incredible vibes.
