Clive is a double bassist, bass-guitarist, and composer.Clive plays double bass, EUB and bass-guitar in The Zen Bicycle Band with Paul Cheneour on flutes and other assorted woodwind, Dave Robinson on mallet-cat synth and percussion, and (occasionally) Andy Race on drums/percussion. ZBB specialise in original material influenced by world-music.He is the regular bassist with "A1 Combination" led by Bill Barnacle on cornet/vocals, with Chris Rumsey woodwind and Bob Pluck - guitar, and The Andy Maclean Band which indulges in traditional jazz - with bebop and rock n' roll thrown in for good measure!Clive's Interests:
Art, literature (including writing poetry), film/drama, history, cooking, gardening, languages, keeping healthy, historically informed music performance, cricket, rugby.
Renaissance, Baroque and early Classical music, World Music, Blues, and Jazz (all types but especially be-bop, modern and fusion), Rock (especially music of Cream, Jack Bruce, Hendrix, Dire Straits and Frank Zappa) and all music for double bass.
