Historia: ***UPDATE 19.2.2008***Well, well well! A lot and nothing has happened since last update. We’ve been rehearsing and doing some pre-demo shit whole fucking winter and it’s beginning to pay off. Also D Mon has proven his killer instinct and we’re very happy to have him on board. There are 4 solid songs of which we’re going to choose 3 for next demo. Song titles are "End of Days", "Scavenger Of love", "Beasts in the night" and "One man, One arm, One desire". Yeah, I know, the titles kick ass and so do the songs! You don’t believe me yet (why not?), but when we put these babies on tape, the Finnish hard rock/metal scene is going to be steam rolled by invincible combination of cathiness and primitive raw energy these songs have!! No exact recording date has been set, but I don’t hustle much if I say during spring/summer. That’s it for now, folks. In immortal words of nahkahomo: TWISSSSSTIIIING! -Kamikaze Kosmonaut-

Proud To Be Loud saw dawn of day in Kuopio in April 2005 when Randy and Tobias hooked up with Kamikaze half accidentally. They were rehearsing under same premises and knew nothing about each others. It didn’t take long to realize what a clash of titans had taken place when this trio started to pound some riff driven heavy metal together. All three agreed that life without bands like W.A.S.P., Mötley Crüe, Mötorhead and Judas Priest is no life worth living. So it was written in stars: Proud To Be Loud had to be born. To bring back the feeling, attitude and hooks that made HEAVY METAL so legendary at first place!Because YES, mainstream rock today totally blows. It’s too harmless, unaffecting, soft and dispassionate. Just look at these whiny 00’s bands like Negative, Private Line and 69 Eyes. Where’s the "Nice boys don’t play rock ’N roll"-attitude, absurd song titles and karate kicks?? Do these guys play ..r to 4 if you ask me. Hell, even Abba Teens have more bad boy-charisma than Negative does...Anyway, after few months of rehearsing and writing Tobias decided to bring his old friend P. Mental on bass. Now only the last, but most important piece of the puzzle was missing. They needed a mind blowing singer! They needed someone who gives competition to supernaturally incarnated fusion of Blackie Lawless and Lemmy Kilmister. They needed someone who’s oral sodomy transforms god and rest of the universe into a giant dick, sending it to the 666th orbit where Satan and Rob Halford are bent over, waiting.PTBL tested few candidates but none of them were all that great. And since good frontmen are extremely hard to find, came frustration. Months went by, but there wasn’t even doubt of giving up. One day Tobias suggested if he asked his girlfriend to sing something over a rehearse tape. Others thought she sounded promising, but Kamikaze wasn’t convinced. "Girl singer?? You must be kidding me. She doesn’t even have former experience!!" After few weeks he was forced to swallow his words, because ALICE LAWLESS started to sound more menacing day by day and quickly became the backbone of their whole sound!Bit more rehearsing and PTBL entered studio. "Jack Rocker" was recorded at Studio 33 during a weekend late -06 and released early -07.
Note: FEW COPIES OF THE DEMO ARE STILL AVAILABLE!
