Confuse your neighbors! Make traffic stand still when blaring the tunes from your car stereo! And best yet, have other ask you, 'What ARE you listening to?"http://www.mediafire.com/?wxuwcm9idju The link for your FREE download of the debut album "The Paisley Sky".One-man band, consisting of Jim Bailey. Guitars, synth bass, keyboards, drum programming, and percussion, with hoards of strange, stacked vocals. We're in the basement, kids. The songs were cut on a TASCAM four-track cassette recorder, with a microphone of unknown vintage. The tracks were then transferred to a computer, using a program called Audacity. As lo-fi as it comes, and don't try this at home. In January 2006, Bailey started recording the first tracks for what was to become a two-year adventure. Beginning with the first version of "Dimmable Sun" (unreleased) and ending with the recording of "She Stars In Nightmares" well over a year later, 'The Paisley Sky' was a slow process in birthing. Songs had to be written...discarded...rewritten...discarded...recorded...re- recorded..discarded. I am sure you get the picture. What is the mission statement for Psychedelic Haze? Psychedelic Haze is here to provide the lowest-quality entertainment at the highest opportunity cost possible. After all, instead of listening to this, you could be doing more worthwhile activities such as watching paint dry or organizing your shoe closet. Or better still, listen to Psychedelic Haze while doing the aforementioned activities. Tests are inclusive if listening to this music has any adverse effects when operating heavy machinery. Side-effects may include dry skin, light sensitivity, dry mouth, constipation, and increased appetite. For the time being, Psychedelic Haze is resting on his sofa-sized laurels and won't be turning out new 'product' in the near future. But don't despair: Mr. Haze has his guitar tuned, his percussion dusted, and his trusty TASCAM all cleaned and calibrated. Keep on the lookout for new cover versions from this psychedelic-folk-rock-experimental person.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: myspace.com/psychedelichazyskies
Band Members: Jim Bailey: A man in a psychedelic haze who has access to guitars, keyboards, percussion, a drum machine program, and a microphone. Lo-fi recorder (TASCAM Four Track) and Audacity program are the other members. Free download of the debut album at this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?wxuwcm9idju
Influences: Smash together a drunken John Lennon with a pilled-up Brian Jones and a less-lucid Roky Erickson and a normal Julian Cope, coupled with Elliott Smith and Donovan: This music is what you'll get.Influenced by: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Love and Rockets, The Peanut Butter Conspiracy, Wild Man Fischer, Julian Cope, The Three O'Clock, The Mamas and The Papas, Donovan, The Association, R.E.M., The Church, Jonathan Richman, Skip Spence, The Jefferson Airplane.I admire the songwriting skills of Lennon and McCartney, John Phillips, Marty Balin, Julian Cope, Jagger and Richards, Donovan, Skip Spence, Jonathan Richman, Frank Zappa, John Lennon (solo), Tim Buckley, Jeff Buckley, Mike Nesmith, and a host of others.
