OCT. 23-25, 2009 www.hauntedcomputer.com The 2009 Haunted Computer Paranormal Conference will be held in historic Wilkesboro, with an array of hunts withing walking distance. Confirmed locations include the Old Wilkes Jail that once housed Tom Dula (Tom Dooley), the Smithey Hotel, The Robert Cleveland House, and the Tory Oak, with more TBA. This year's event will feature more interactive panels and discussions, with the theme of "Science, Faith, and the Supernatural." Guest presenters include Paranormal Scene Investigators, R.G. Absher, Jeremiah Greer, Jonathan Watts, Scott Nicholson, and more TBA, with panels on Christianity and the Paranormal, The Psychology of Evidence, Ghost Boxes, and The Nature of Spirits, as well as leisurely ghost hunts. Cost is $55 if registration made by Sept. 23, $65 afterward. The conference is based at the Holiday Inn Express in Wilkesboro, with a conference discount for rooms and an easy two-mile drive to hunt sites.
