Butterfly by Inanna
Featuring October's Wig Out Rework
Release Date: TBA
Commentary and Press:
La Folia's first release offers up a seven minute glide through clicking Villalobos-esque minimal techno rhythms and sweeping atmospheric ambient pads that manages to deftly fuse a glittering backdrop of bright melodic tones with an underlying sense of brooding tension, courtesy of the ominous minor bass chords that tread beneath, in a manner that particularly calls to mind parts of Alex Smoke's recent Paradolia album or perhaps Soma labelmate Vector Lovers. - Chris Downton, Cyclic Defrost
“Good stuff. Butterfly is the one for me." DOMINIK EULBERG (Traum Records)
"Liked the Butterfly track, working it in to next round of gigs!"
JENNIFER CARDINI (Mobilee Records)
“Killer stuff, I can't wait to hear more. Butterfly is great” SASCHA FUNKE (BPitch Control)
“Dug the October one. I got it on a cd now.”
CLAUDE VONSTROKE (Dirtybird)
"I dropped the october wig out mix, used the October mix multiple times.” BOOM BIP (Lex Records)
“Totally digging the Inanna release, in particular the October Wig Out Mix. Nice driving, minimal techno rework." ADAM KURZAWA (Giant Step)
"The October one is fresh, I'm on it.”
SOLID STEEL (Ninja Tune)
Traces Of The Sun by Inanna
Featurung remixes by MO7S and Da Moth, G Notorious, and Quadratic
Release Date: TBA
Commentary and Press:
Traces Of The Sun starts off with gently pulsing kickdrums rising out of a spectral backdrop of trailing ambient pads, before some seriously dubbed-out rattling tones lock into place and power their way beneath layers of manically swirling analogue synth arpeggios and swirling background ambience. - Chris Downton, Cyclic Defrost
“Hands down the Mo7s remix kills it. I'm on that one for sure.”
TOPH ONE (XLR8R)
"Really getting into dubstep right now so I will definitely use
the last cut a lot.” DAVID FISCHER (Re:Up)
“Really moody and atmospheric, glad to hear that still around in some new techno cuts. I'll be using em. The G Notorious and Inanna mix of “Traces Of The Sun” is something I more enjoy late night at the crib." ADAM KURZAWA (Giant Step)
"Really solid ep here, sinister vibe on the MO7S , the way I
like it. Nice to hear the beats change up from 4x4 to a brokenish". EGG FOO YOUNG
"Trace the Sun is really unusual + hypnotic. I'd like to hear more tracks like that. Definitely using this one” SHELLEY PARKER (Structure)
