the s.p. (shytalk promotions) is a monthly live music event held in various venues throughout Manchester. entrance to the venue is usually just a few quid, to help cover costs and bands petrol etc.. we are definitely NOT a pay to play promoter.
we do have rules for the club though. 1) you have a good time. 2) you enjoy yourself and tell others.
we are not the sort of people to put as many bands as possible on and charge a fiver, it'll be £3 at most and care will be taken in choosing the right sort of bands to play. bands who will be playing the s.p. will be different from the normal, more the sort who deserve to be in wire magazine rather than the nme. we are not looking for bands that want to be fashionable, we are looking for bands that want to be different.
