Innenweg is the project of Matthias Engelhardt, a German musician and songwriter. The name "Innenweg" means as much as "the way inside".
The music of Innenweg combines a large bandwidth of influences to a rich, colourful
and unique sound. Various musical elements, inspired by different genres such
as classical music, jazz, rock and metal, melt into each other and become one.
The lyrics give an introspective view on emotions. Often times they express contrasting or even
paradox feelings. Unlike many artists who only write about the “positive†or “negativeâ€,
Innenweg doesn’t know any limitations of expression. Whether musically nor lyrically.

In spring 2009 the first Innenweg album titled “Am ersten Tag†will be finished.
It invites the listener to a journey into a marvellous universe where there is so much
to explore. “Am ersten Tag†is an album one can listen to over and over again,
still discovering new things. The deeper one steps into it the deeper it becomes.
