To Reinvent began sometime in 2005 in the basement of the great Minneapolis squat house, Camp Firewood. It was basically just a moniker for me to use while experimenting with the 60's style song-writing I had come to love. Quickly this "solo" project became a collaboration with long time friend and guitar extraordinaire Michael McGarthwaite. Over the years we have had the opportunity to play with many talented and interesting musicians in a variety of different settings. Last year while searching for a "stable" line-up, we enlisted the talented and sensible Adam Eggert on Drums and the equally as talented though slightly more aloof Ray Ringer on Bass Guitar. Since then we have performed around the country, released an EP, a full-length LP (Pink & Bleak), performed on a Kare 11 christmas special (woot!), and have played at some of the scummiest dive bars known to man. It has truly been a most enjoyable experience. We will continue to make music that we enjoy regardless of commercial success or fiscal viability. Please keep an eye out as we are beginning to regroup, refocus, and gather our collective chi.

What others say:
"Performing tonight at the Triple Rock Social Club... promising local newcomers To Reinvent. Front man Ryan Traster (ex-Small Towns Burn A Little Slower) has a seriously smooth tenor and the rest of his band sounds equally polished on the collection of mid-tempo power pop demos currently spinning on their MySpace, I dare you to listen to “Just Tell Me†and not join in the hand clapping during the chorus". -Metromix.com
For those who speak the Espanol:
"No hay más que fijarse en las influencias del grupo, que van desde Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers a The Byrds, para entender su gusto por el pop-rock tradicional, el cual se refleja en su música, con canciones al más puro estilo del rock americano." -Lito Music
