About Me

Peter Butler has been playing music since Grade 3, beginning with brass, and finally settling on Guitar around the age of 10.
A folk trio in Sydney, the Ramblin' Strings, were on their way to the dump with their broken guitar, when a friend of the family thought that young Pete might enjoy playing with it.
Since that fateful day, he has written over 40 songs, and performed with such artists as Direction, Lost Prophets (Not that band we were before them),Medicinal Purposes (Dr Dolphin), 3 Degrees North, Dirty Rotten Bar Stools, City Streets Bush Band; and more recently a duo with Brian Sadler (The Everly 'Nothers) covering vocal harmonies from the Everly Bros, Simon and Garfunkle, Beatles, Clapton and more. Pete has also recently joined forces with Gregory Peatey (Fiach Hugh and Wild Thyme) to work some Irish tunes around the local Irish Pubs. He has also done many solo performances along the way.
Pete is a partner in a Music Store in Logan, QLD called The Music Spot. (www.myspace.com/themusicspot).
You can find Pete these days performing sporadic gigs around South East Queensland.
