Gary Gibson grew up in Little Axe Oklahoma. He started his music career when He was twelve years old. His early Influence's include the late great Bob wills as well as Johnny paycheck, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Bush. Gary started his career as a drummer. He always held onto the thought of being the front man in his own band back then. While he was a drumming, he used to watch the front man's every move and the way they entertained the crowd. Gary would watch Bob wills, Johnny Paycheck, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Johnny Bush, He decided he wanted to make the crowd move like his hero's. Entertaining was in his blood. He soon gave the drums a rest and picked up a guitar and in Gary's word's " worked my ass off to look, act and entertain like those guys" . In the eary 80's Gary put his first band together, and The Gary Gibson Band was born. He played all over Oklahoma, From the hole in the walls to the large dance clubs, paying his due's along the way. In the mid 90's His hard work paid off. In 1995 Gary was runner-up at the battle of the bands- Tulsa's city Limits. Also He was runner-up at The battle of the bands at Incahoots in Oklahoma city in 1995. 1996 brought Gary even more accomplishments, He was runner-up at the Marlboro Show Down at Gram's Central Station in Oklahoma City and runner-up at The Jimmy Dean Round Up at The Oklahoma Opry. Later in 1996 Gary was nominated for Male Vocalist and Single of the year by the Independent Country Music Artists Association. Through out his Career Gary has opened show's for various country artist's which include: Gene Watson , Chris ledoux, Kentucky Head Hunters, Johnny Bush, Hank Thompson, Confederate Railroad, Earl Thomas Conlee, Travis Tritt, Aly Cutter, Sherri Austin, Kenny Beard, Jimmie Fortune and Gary's favorite Hero Johnny Paycheck. Gary's Pure Booming Voice has wow'd crowds in Oklahoma, Texas , Louisana, Kansas, Arkansas and Tennessee. Gary has the same drive Today for entertaining as he did when He first started. Gary Gibson is truly the man of a million songs. Gary would like to thank his mother for the on going and unconditional support through out his career.
