The Human Beings

About Me

The Human Beings are a London based band who were first formed in Israel in 2001 by the song writer Igal Israel – vocals, acoustic guitar who decided after attending film school to concentrate on music. After several different forms ‘The Human Beings’ were established as a duo in 2003 with Ruth Clarke (coming from a fine art background) – flute, vocals and glockenspiel. There are now three members; Omri Schitrit – Double Bass, , Ruth and Igal. The Human beings gig in and around London . They have had the pleasure of being part of The Spitz Folk Festival where they supported ‘The 18th Day of May’ and where many artists played such as Beth Orton and Bert Jansch. The Human Beings form a unique blend of sounds that can be called ‘mirror music’. A type of music that builds a space for you to see yourself reflected there.

Sounds Like: "This is the kind of music that makes your insides dance. It moves around you and shifts your thoughts and feelings until they find a place to settle that is free from heaviness and negative influence. The Human Beings sound can be called “mirror music”. A type of music that builds a space for you to see yourself reflected there. This is pleasantly cathartic and unexpectedly energising. After the final song…once you have regained your limited sense of physical time you still retain a tiny sliver of mirror music."Tammy Poggo - Writer (July 2005) I edited my profile with ..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chycf_PZlOY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6An0OVM-dVU
