About Me
THE REAL START
In reality the band was formed four years ago in 2004 and 1/2, and was founded by guitarist/ backup vocalist Chase M. and vocalist Jacey R. Jacey hooked up with drummer Derek M. and within a matter of days by saying the band was formed by but not even having a meeting or practice to see what everyone could do, Chuck L. joined as bassist. With a skeptical picture of what everyone tried to call talent, the band "Apparatus" was formed. But "Apparatus" turned out very well, finding out that the chemistry between the members, the playing ability, and the sound, connected well together. It had everyone in the band pushing for a more rockish and grunge sound at every weekily practice. Under that name, "Apparatus" won one 2nd place battle of the bands concert.
THE SEASON FOR CHANGE
Sadley though, one spring, tension between the members finally blew up and Jacey was let go.The band soon wondered if it was supposed to be a band at all, or just a couple of kids who would never do anything and would always jam in a garage or in their case a basement. Tommy B. eventually joined as vocalist/screamer and after a few "unique" practices and a show, Tommy was let go. Without a large enough fan base, and about 15 different myspace tries for a simple profile to work but never working, "Apparatus" couldn't get a loud enough voice for people to hear they needed a vocalist. Chase then took the challenge and said he would be the lead vocal before a years work within he band was lost down the drain.
MABEY, JUST MABEY, WE GOT IT DOWN
Out of respect of Jacey and the fact that "Apparatus" was changing their style and maturing in their sound, they changed their name. It then was a more funner stage name the band called themselves "Jimmy on the Spot." The band underneath that name wrote all new songs and recorded their first album in a church live through the help of Chases old guitar teacher and good friend, Tony B. The album was never released to fans but would forever mark the bands history. Like a drug, the new album pushed the band to do more, to want more, to write more, and mature more. But time was at a privliage wasted and Chuck (the oldest one in the band) gaduated and had to go to college. To far away to stay in the band and yet still so close that it hurt, Chuck was let go.
STUDIO TIME
The band, now down to 2 members took a break for the summer and came back with a new line up of songs and a passion that could knock a fans socks off, the band fought to stay alive. They changed their name out of respect to Chuck and "Easier Than Honesty" was born. They then ran into Matt P. who owned a recording studio, and being in a band himself offered to help "ETH" out.
STATUS
"ETH" is in the studio right now. We have one song up that is still a demo. We will have four more tracks up, and will have them released on the new album coming out before summer. WE NEED A BASSIST FOR FUTURE RECORDINGS AND SHOWS. Chase has been filling in (on the recordings) the bass sound. Anyone is welcome to play for us!!! WE are excitied about the new album and can't wait til we start doing some shows again. WE will soon be making a music video too! Stay tuned for future songs on our profile.
