Were here to have a good time! That’s what were about’ And what our music is about’ And we want you to have a good time too.. We can do the love song thing’ But most folks go out to be energized and entertained.. And that’s what we aim to do’ Our music is raucous and upbeat' Without being obnoxious loud’ Seems our style is best described as Rock’ Americana...All we know is we enjoy playing and performing So come on out and Join us for some fun'Here ya can meet the boy's in thier own words....................................................... .......................My name is Kevin R. Helton and I’m a Nefarious Clyde. I hale from the great state of Texas, born in San Antonio, resided in Austin (but I got to Oregon as quick as I could). I have been making music most of my natural life. I’m quite partial to the drums though. Beatin out the time really does it for me. My parents although not musicians themselves, always encouraged and helped me by financing my musical habits as a child. (Thanks Mom & Dad). More recently I crossed paths with Mike Helms, and it has been great fun working with him. Can’t wait to really “Get this Party Started”...................................... .......................................... Hey I'm Neal Clark and I play lead guitar. Like Kevin I grew up in Texas and moved to Oregon just a few short years ago. I started playing guitar when I was 13 and haven't been able to shake the habit since. While I listen to many types of music (psychedelic, folk, metal, etc.) it was the sounds of the Texas blues that flooded my head and soaked my heart. Fortunately it's a sound that fits like a glove over the soulful songs of Mike Helms. ...anyhow I love bein on stage hangin it out' and I'm very Nefarious' leastwise I hack with an Axe'............................. ..........................................HI I'm Frank Botti I was born in Somerville New Jersey I started playing guitar at @ 6 years old learning from my dad who was big into jazz, when I started rocking it really ticked him off.. I played guitar till about 96 when I was hanging with a band called ‘Third Wheel when this cutie lead singer with huge uhhhh aspirations asked me If I could play bass’ her uhhh persuasive talents could not be refused causing me to commit to the bass’ so I’ve been playing bass since, through several projects (Sector 7 G , The Roosters etc…), I’ve lived in several states including Texas, Colorado and Hawaii. I’m a working class Joe’ and I think I apply that attitude to the music allowing me to play a few different styles, and fit in well with the gig. I came to Portland in pursuit of a LOVE interest’ ;p and in a brief search found myself become a Nefarious Clyde’ not that I wasn’t before.............................My name is Mike Helms.. Well I’m from the Midwest’ Kansas to be exact, Although I’ve moved around quite a bit when I was younger, And lived or spent some time in much of the western U S’ I was country'.. raised city'.. much of the time, With roots in folk and rock both... From Roger Miller to Led Zep’.. John Denver and Flat n Scruggs to CCR', Skynyrd and Floyd, Throw in some C’W McCall with some Sabbath, And you’ll get a pretty good idea why I’m so ^$&ed up.. I write from what’s fun to what I feel' Always listened to music that the lyrics said something, Whether it be funny or fantastic, So that’s how I write... I’ve been performing since I could baby puke and go Ta Dah’, From campfires to Shakespeare on Stage’, I was weaned on Coors’ Blessed by Medicine Men in the mountains’ And even kissed Aunt Lou’ whew’’!!.......
