Seth Botos

About Me

Seth Botos has been playing drums since the age of 11, starting out on glockenspiel and classical percussion in the 5th grade symphonic band. From there, he moved on to the orchestra and jazz band, which he continued until senior year, when he participated in the Massachusetts All-State Symphonic band. Also during this time, Seth maintained a number of bands on the side, including his first band, the Kleptomaniacs, as well as the Hyponoia Project, a jazz/funk ensemble, and Sack, an exploration in keyboard and drum duet possibilities. All of this was rounded out by occasional jazz sessions with local musicians, work with the Boston area based Community youth Orchestra, voluteer work with the Ottoson Middle School Jazz Band, and pit work in Godspell at Arlington High School and The Mystery of Edwin Drood with the SpeakEasy Stage Company. Seth currently attends Berklee College of Music in Boston and studies professional music. There, he plays regularly in several bands, including Rising Motion, Stephen and the Intangible, Sevi D. and the Wilds, and the Undeca Quintet.
