Reflection Point

About Me

REFLECTION POINT first formed as a band in early 2005, and made quite an impact on the Sydney music scene in a short amount of time, performing at some of the most prestigious venues in town.In 2006, Reflection Point released their debut ep, The Gift, made 2 line up changes and embarked on the first of many interstate tours to come.In Sept 2007, Reflection Point released their self-titled ep and began an intensive East Coast tour which was very well received, drawing attention from record labels both here in Australia and from overseas in the U.S.Their brand of heavy electro groove combined with the stunning powerful females vocals is turning heads Australia-wide.Reflection Point is currently taking a break after the unfortunate departure of guitarist and founder of the band, Mark. He will be missed but his reasons are both valid and completely understood so RP wish him well. Dylan is flat out with his sound recording business and his other band, Nucleus (who are currently touring with their newly released ep). Eliza is currently living up in Newcastle and Denis is playing with Sydney band, Domino.In recent news, turns out that guitarist Mark and his wife Jen and bass player Denis and his girlfriend Katherine are all expecting bubs which are due on the same day- Dec 18th! What are the odds?? So a big CONGRATULATIONS to them all..well done guys and gals!REVIEWS:Reflection Point has among other draw cards, a dynamic lead singer. The three piece from Sydney formed in 2005. Since then they have attracted quite a fan base, and it’s clear to see why. Sounding very evanescence, with harder tones, the band demonstrated an ability to enthrall. Lead singer, Eliza had the audience in the palm of hand. Whether it was chatting to the crowd or belting out songs with her killer voice, the crowd was giving their undivided attention. FASTER LOUDER-Canberra march 12DRUM MEDIA REVIEW 10/02/07 Supporting INK @ Bar Broadway Reflection Point offered up stylistically flawless take on melodic chugging , perfect for mosh pits ......The obvious catch point of this band is the amazing vocal ability of their front woman Eliza ,(Think FLYLEAF & EVANESCENCE)";
